Permaculture & Plant Medicine 
for Resilience

This is a 2 day program and you can take one or both days.
11am – 5pm each day
with potluck lunches

Be more resilient when faced with unexpected circumstances. Learn valuable preparedness skills while learning to develop a emergency preparedness & prevention plan using Permaculture. Build your toolkit by starting a basic herbal first aid kit.

• Learn the building blocks of an emergency plan
• Find ways to prevent disasters with Permaculture Design
• Identify healing plants and learn their uses in emergency
• Develop Medicine making and homesteading skills
• Take home hand made plant preparations

September 28th – Emergency Preparedness

An interactive and exploratory workshop where you will learn the steps to creating an emergency prevention and preparedness plan with your community and also know the most important supplies to keep in your emergency kit for long term reslience.

September 29th – Herbal First Aid

Identify plants and their uses in emergencies.  Learn what herbal medicines you wont want to be without while travelling, on and adventure or in a first aid situation.  Make herbal lozenges, an oil infusion, salve and tincture to take home and start your own herbal first aid kit.

Kym Chi has a passion for service and helping others and is a facilitator, mentor, medicine woman and artist .  To date; Kym has received a Diploma in Permaculture Education, 3 certificates in Permaculture Design, completed multiple teacher trainings, taken a variety of advanced trainings.    Kym has also achieved a chartered herbalist diploma through Dominion Herbal College in 2010 and has studied with master herbalists Susun Weed, Dina Falconi, has undergone an year long apprenticeship with Barbara Cotgrave of Halfmoon Herbals and taken an Alchemy course with Robert A. Bartlett.  With a love of learning, she continues to take courses that grow her understanding of the natural world.  Kym wishes to inspire creativity and value centred living to enrich and develop healthy and abundant habitats and communities. With a love of Social Permaculture,  Kym enjoys supporting organizations and communities to become more resilient.  She lives on the Sunshine Coast, teaches Permaculture, runs a holistic healing practice and acts as the Executive Director for the food security organization, One Straw Society.
