Permaculture Design 
Gardening and Food Forestry 
Free Intro Day 

Join with a group of like minded people to explore permaculture design methods, strategies and techniques for gardening, food forestry and community building. We will visit Grafton Community Gardens, a rural farm and community garden on Bowen Island. It’s dedicated to building a healthy community and environment to grow food, share skills, have fun and educate others. 

together we will :
explore a design for community and culture on Bowen
adventure through nature
discover food and medicine plants 
experience education 
share a potluck meal
watch permaculture media
do designs and integrative activities
and have an inspiring day learning and growing with nature.

A keynote activity will present and work with the portrait of the community culture that emerged from our Cultural Plan. Discuss how our unique culture positively and negatively affects our preparedness for and openness to permaculture and the transition to greater food self-sufficiency.
